10 Best FUT Icons In FIFA 23, Ranked
Table of Contents
ToggleHere are FIFA 23’s best FUT logos.
There are a lot of high-rated cards in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, and you can choose from them as you build your team. Even though there are a lot of great cards for current players, some of the best FUT cards are for “Icons,” which are legendary players. These cards are as rare as they come, and their numbers and abilities in the game back that up.
Even though Icons are rare, you may have collected a few by now to sort through. Even though every Icon card has good stats, movements and special abilities play a huge role in figuring out how good a player is. So, the best FUT Icon cards aren’t just the ones with the top ratings; they’re the ones that always do well in your starting 11.
TOTY Van Der Sar – 92 Overall
- One-Star Weak Foot
- Three-Star Skill Moves
- Med/Med Work Rates
Edwin Van Der Sar is the best Icon goalie in FIFA 23 because he plays the game so well that it’s hard to find a better way to describe it. These players change all the time, making them hard to predict. You rarely have control over your goalie during a game, except for a few kicks here and there or a run out to cut down an angle.
But Van Der Sar makes saves more often than other goalies because his great stats give him a balance that is hard to beat. You don’t really notice him, which is a great trait for a goalkeeper because it means he’s just doing his job and stopping the other team from scoring.
If he makes several great saves in a row, though, you might start to notice.
FUT Birthday Maldini – 95 Overall
- Four-Star Weak Foot
- Five-Star Skill Moves
- Med/High Work Rates
There is no better protective Center Back in FIFA than Maldini if you want to strengthen your defense. He has a very rare five-star Skill Moves, which is something you don’t see often in defenses.
Team Player is the only big trait he has, but he does so well and makes everyone around him better.
When you know Maldini is on defense, you can get the most out of your attacking players, especially your fullbacks on the flanks. It’s freeing to know that Maldini is covering your goal and you can run down the line without being seen.
He seems to attract players when he’s protecting, making him hard to get around.
Shapeshifters Zambrotta – 94 Overall
- Five-Star Weak Foot
- Four-Star Skill Moves
- High/High Work Rates
If you haven’t heard of Gianluca Zambrotta before, now is the time to get to know this FIFA superstar. Zambrotta is a force in the middle of the field because of how hard he works and how well he moves.
Some players, like Zambrotta, are lucky enough to have movements that are fast, tight, and in general very good.
If you like to play with skill, Zambrotta has both the Flair and Flair Passes traits, which make his performances really shine. But Zambrotta doesn’t need any extras because he is a worker on defense and has the speed to move the ball forward quickly after a defensive play.
FUT Birthday Kaka – 93 Overall
- Four-Star Weak Foot
- Five-Star Skill Moves
- High/Med Work Rates
If you like skilled midfielders in FIFA 23, Kaka is a great pick. Even though he’s not very good with the ball and is easy to outmuscle, Kaka is a great midfielder when he’s used right. Start training your Skill Moves if you want to get the most out of him.
Kaka’s style of play is reflected in his Traits. His best traits are Flair, Flair Passes, and Outside Foot Shot. Kaka has all the skills you could need to get the ball into your opponent’s box. He is great at dribbling and passing, and he can also play one-on-one.
FUT Birthday Jairzinho – 93 Overall
- Five-Star Weak Foot
- Five-Star Skill Moves
- High/High Work Rates
Did this room just start to get hot? It’s Jairzinho, I see.
If you’ve ever played FUT Champions, you probably already know a lot about this Brazilian threat. Simply put, Jairzinho has everything a player could want in his toolbox. His High/High work rates are just the cherry on top.
Jairzinho has top-tier traits in Speed, Shooting, and Dribbling. He also has top-tier traits in Flair, Power Header, and Outside Foot Shot. Even though Jairzinho is big, he is extremely hard to get rid of, so don’t judge him by his size alone.
Trophy Titans Zidane – 97 Overall
- Five-Star Weak Foot
- Five-Star Skill Moves
- High/High Work Rates
If you had to make the best midfielder for FUT 23, you’d basically just make a version of Zidane. This French hero is almost perfect, right down to his Traits.
His work rates are just right for keeping him busy on both sides of the ball, which lets him shine.
Zidane’s Flair Shot and Finesse Shot are great if you want to see how his shots move so smoothly. Height can’t be trained, but Zidane’s 6’1″ build lets him reach for interceptions and then move the play to the offense, like Zambrotta.
Trophy Titan Ronaldo – 97 Overall
- Five-Star Weak Foot
- Five-Star Skill Moves
- High/Med Work Rates
Ronaldo, also known as R9, is a very good card. He is a hero and has five stars for both his weak foot and his Skill Moves. This Brazilian Icon is one of the most decorated and well-known players who has ever been on the field. His skills are the only thing that are better than his name.
Ronaldo is probably the best pure striker you can use because he is tall (6’0″), fast, can shoot, and dribble. Ronaldo’s only flaw is that he is not very physical. If he were, he would easily be at the top of the charts.
As things stand, you should try to avoid the guards to make room for a shot, and then let his Finesse Shot Trait do the rest.
TOTY Ronaldinho – 95 Overall
- Four-Star Weak Foot
- Five-Star Skill Moves
- High/Low Work Rates
Ronaldinho is a wizard with the ball, and this one-of-a-kind Icon will surprise you in a lot of different ways. Ronaldinho’s stats are impressive, but he also has a lot of Traits like Flair, Finesse Shot, and Outside Foot Shot that keep the other team’s goalie busy.
Even though Ronaldinho has a low defensive work rate, his unique body type lets this card shine on the offense with surprising movements and strength. In FIFA, having a unique body type and movements is very important, especially when comparing top-tier cards with similar stats.
If you can get Ronaldinho, you won’t be able to play again without him.
TOTY Gullit – 94 Overall
- Five-Star Weak Foot
- Four-Star Skill Moves
- High/Med Work Rates
Ruud Gullit is not as flashy as his Brazilian teammates, but this card is so well-rounded that it beats even Zidane. Gullit is 6’3″ tall, but he also has a unique body shape that makes it easy for him to fight off would-be defenders.
Even though his Skill Moves only have four stars, don’t let that fool you. Gullit is very smooth with the ball and can run an entire Slope Game with his moves. He is not only hard to find, but his skills are so well-rounded that he is rarely for sale and often goes extinct on PC.
Even though Gullit is hard to catch, his skills with the ball are worth the run.
Shapeshifters Pele – 99 Overall
- Five-Star Weak Foot
- Five-Star Skill Moves
- High/Med Work Rates
Pele is thought to have been one of the best players of all time, and his Shapeshifter card, which has an overall score of 99, does justice to his reputation. Pele’s stats are unbeatable. He is near the top of the charts for pace, shooting, passing, and dribbling.
When you add five-star weak foot and Skill Moves to these assets, they make a great pair.
Pele has a unique body type, and he also has the Outside Foot Shot, Flair, Finesse Shot, and Solid Player traits, though the last one may be an underestimate. Physically, he’s not very good, which makes sense since Pele was only 5’8″ tall.
When running at defenders, use Pele’s speed and dribbling to your advantage, but don’t try to run right through them or you’ll waste his huge potential.
