How To Be A Better Public Speaker

Public speaking used to scare me to death.  I was always so afraid of getting up in front of any group more than 3 people, and even then it was difficult.

In college, we had to present projects at the front of the class.  In boardrooms, I had to make pitches in front of the whiteboard.  And finally, I knew that for me to be successful, I was going to have to get up on stage at some point.

That’s one of the reasons I created the Leveling Up Live event.  I knew that it’d be easier to handle something if I was in control of it.

One of the things that helped me the most was knowing what kind of presenter I was.

I knew I wouldn’t be the most extroverted person from stage.  I’m not that funny.  I think and speak more structurally (as in flow of thought – not as in something that is perfectly executed).

So, in finding this article today about the 6 Types Of Public Speakers, I knew I needed to share.

For those of you who are scared to speak in public – don’t be.  It’s 110% worse in your head than it actually is!  Your audience will appreciate you and the insight you bring, I guarantee it.
